Conduct on Rambles.
A few simple rules help to uphold the reputation and safety of Ramblers nationwide:
- Do not walk ahead of the leader.
- Walk in single file through crops and on roads.
- Inform the leader or other group member if you have to leave the group for any reason.
- If walking in crowded public areas, please be aware of others around you and respect their personal space.

Your Health and Walking with others.
You should not in any circumstances join a walk if you or someone you are living with has a serious infection or illness which is contagious and easily transmissible to others. All walkers should have an up-to date ICE card (In Case of Accident) in their backpack on all walks. ICE cards contain your emergency contact, special health and medication details. You are given an ICE card on joining a group.
Clothing.
Make sure you equip yourself for the appropriate time of year and always wear stout shoes or walking boots and bring waterproof clothing. A change of footwear is essential when vehicle sharing.
Weather Conditions.
During extreme or inclement weather, always check with the Walk Leader ahead of each walk.
