To report a problem with a Footpath, follow this process:

1. Describe the problem and attach a photo.

2. Get an ordnance survey map Grid Reference closest to the problem location. This will look like, for example, SK 717673.

3. Get the Footpath Number by visiting the website www.rowmaps.com and entering the Grid Reference in the appropriate field. 

A new screen will apppear with the grid reference you entered in a table field. In the table, click the 'OS map via Bing' option. A local map (to the area of interest) will appear with all footpaths highlighted. Hover the cursor over the footpath where your problem exists and when the cursor changes to a 'hand', click to reveal a pop-up box with the Footpath Number together with other information.

4. Provide all the above information to your Ramblers Group Footpath Secretary or for Nottinghamshire footpaths, refer to the information in this
